Urban Decay x Alice Through the Looking Glass eyeshadow palette
Hey guys, long time no see! So, I was lucky enough to get my hands on the NEW limited edition Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass eyeshadow palette - I was so excited! I decided not to get the lipsticks, as the colours were slightly out of my comfort zone (and I had just spent £50 on the palette).
A Bit About the Palette
I bought my palette from Harvey Nichols, as this was the only place I could get my hand on it. I also got the palette 2 days before it was released in the UK - which was fab. It cost me £46 plus £5 shipping - it was a bit pricier than buying it straight from Urban Decay (which would have cost me £43).
Receiving my package
1. I received my palette in this beautiful white box from Harvey Nichols.
2. Inside was this cute little shiny card, saying...
3. THEN, as a cute little gift, Harvey Nichols treated me with this goody bag containing some decent sized skincare samples!
4. Onto to the good stuff! I was greeted with this hamster-bed-looking stuff... but, underneath was what I had been looking forward to - the palette.
5. Inside the palette were some cute little features - a mirror, a quote saying "I'm not strange, weird, off, nor crazy, my reality is just different from yours" which I LOVE, and surprisingly a butterfly! The small details count :)
6. Finally, we get onto the shades... There are a mix of matte, shimmer and super-shimmer's in this palette. The columns are separated into different characters from the film: 1st column - Alice; 2nd column - Hatter; 3rd column - Mirana; 4th column - Iracebeth; 5h column - Time. The pigment is amazing and the formula of these eyeshadows are so buttery and easy to blend. The brush that comes with the palette is like any other UD brush - double sided, one dense, one fluffy.
The Verdict?
I really love this palette! If you can get your hands on it then you really should! It isn't like any other palette they have brought out - which is usually a problem that a lot of people find. However, if you're a makeup-lover like me, then it shouldn't be a worry! I would also comment that this palette is a mix between the Vice palette and the Naked palette, as there is a mix of neutrals and fun colours!
